Kate Mulgrew


Ms Katherine Kiernan Mulgrew was born in Dubuque, Iowa, USA, Earth on 29th April 1955, having Irish ancestry. At the age of 17, Ms Mulgrew chose to pursue acting as a full time craft, and her career was established soon afterwards. She has two sons from a previous marriage, and is now happily married to Tim Hagan. Kate enjoys reading, cooking and helping several charities, including Incarnation Childrens' Center.

Kate has been in many stage / theatre performances on and off Broadway, as well as being in films and television productions. She has been nominated for many awards, and has received several, including the Tracey Humanitarian Award for her role as an alcoholic anchorwoman on television's Murphy Brown series. Her most notable role is that of Captain Kathryn Janeway, from Star Trek: Voyager.

Many people are inspired by Ms Mulgrew, for varying reasons. To some, Kate has helped them seek and experience the career they have always wanted; many women have cited Kate as the person who has urged them to rejoice in being female; and others, both male and female, have had their entire lives turned around for the better due to Ms Mulgrew's positive, inspirational nature.
