Crazy Anne's World

Star Trek

Star Trek is Crazy Anne's life. If you visit her domain, you will find it adorned with lots of Star Trek things, and a few things she has created herself in honor of the Star Trek phenomenon. You will even find a copy of Shakespeare's Hamlet in two languages: Federation English, and Klingon, as transcribed by the Klingon Language Institute!

Crazy Anne's introduction to Trek was a beginning. As a child, she had watched the original Star Wars movie, and it had freaked her to no end. Never again would she watch ANYTHING even remotely like it, she told herself at age seven.

That changed eventually.

Along came Doctor Dave, who was a leader of Crazy Anne's local youth group. Every Friday night, Crazy Anne was asked, "Have you seen an episode yet?", to which the answer was always a firm, steady "Not yet, Doctor Dave." After a couple of months, Crazy Anne was asked on Sundays - twice - in addition to the Friday night interrogations. This kept up for a whole 2 and a 1/2 years, when....

*drumroll*

... 'Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home' was screened on television in her living room.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Crazy Anne started watching The Original Series (ST:TOS), then went to The Next Generation (TNG), then The Animated Series (TAS) of the TOS era, then watched perhaps two or three episodes of Deep Space Nine (DS9), then switched to Voyager (VOY).... and has watched every movie that has been made.

Add to that, she has actually met some of the cast members! Ms Marina Sirtis, Mr Garrett Wang, Mr John DeLancie, Mr Rene Auberjonois and Ms Kate Mulgrew are some of those.

Humpback whales, indeed....
